Student raises concerns about rumored removal of 'domino tables'

During the open forum of the Associated Students of Laney College (ASLC) Council's March 5 meeting, Laney student President Davis voiced concerns over the possible removal of the eight concrete tables cemented along the Laney quad's front entrance.
Davis mentioned apparent complaints made by campus police and faculty members, who he said claimed game-playing at the tables disrupts students studying in the library.
Tutorial program helps business students throughout the Peralta District

The Accounting Tutorial Center at the College of Alameda is unique and one of a kind; this valuable and extremely beneficial program has been in existence since the mid--1970s. It is the only Accounting tutorial program in the Peralta District that not only provides services to students at the College of Alameda, but to students at Laney, Merritt, and Berkeley City College as well.

Overcoming any fears of speaking in public and exercising their intellectual might, the Berkeley Rhetoric and Debate club is a place for students to bond and battle with their wits.

With over $100,000, the Associated Students of Laney College (ASLC) has its largest budget ever this year.
The budget was adopted unanimously back in September by the ASLC Council, which then had only three members President Yvonne Thompson, Vice--President Naz Khan and Secretary Sybil Burciaga.
