Over 400 students turn-out for vote

Tiana Wilkes is the new BCC President after receiving 204 votes. Her opponent, Alex Sobieski, received 103. According to the elections committee, there were numerous write-ins, but none over 25.
Yineng "JK" Gi was elected Vice-President of Programs with 165 votes to Suzette Bennett's 128.
Brent Curdy was elected Vice-President of Administration with 251 votes. Curdy, who was appointed VP of Admin this spring, ran unopposed.
There were 13 candidates for 12 available ASBCC Senator positions. Th highest vote getter was Silvio Correia with 199 votes, followed by Celina Perez with 184. The next highest vote getters were Tenzin Seldon 179, Delane Sims 177, and Rhonda Nasser 174. Iris Mariana received 168 votes, Heidi Holms 164, and Lovepreeet Singh received 162. Erica Mitchell received 149 votes, Rita Mouton-Patterson 147, and William Sham received 134.
Meribe Martinez, who received 118 votes, was only 16 votes shy of a senate seat. The number of senators is decided by the number of students enrolled. Each senator represents approximately 500 students.
According to the elections committee, 435 ballots were cast.
