League of Women Voter
A League of Women Voters representative will be at Laney, Tuesday, Oct. 14 to talk about California ballot propositions for the Nov. 4 election. Will be held in EV #3 (portable) from 12-1 p.m.
World Music Series
John Schott and friends will be performing Klezmer music. Free. G-189 at noon Oct. 16th.
"The Piano Lesson"
A play based on one African-American families struggle after the end of slavery. Play is produced by Laney's Fusioneros in the Laney theater, Oct. 23-25, 30-Nov. 1 starting at 8 p.m. Admission for students is $5, and $20 for general.
Black Panthers Documentary
"Merritt college: Home of the Black Panthers" documentary viewing at the Oakland Museum on Thurs, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. the documentary will also be repeated on Peralta TV throughout the Fall on channels 27 and 28.
Avalon Micro Film Fest
Started by former Laney Theater arts student, Jeff Crispi. Approximate PG-13 rating. Saturday, Oct. 18 in the Laney College Theater from 7-10 p.m. Admission is $5.
Jack Rasmus at BCC
Rasmus, a professor of political economy at St. Mary's College and Santa Clara University, and author of "The War at Home." Talk on the Economic Crisis, at BBC, Friday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.
Homecoming
The Homecoming Rally Will be a lot of fun! There is going to be a DJ from 106 KMEL, a live band, free food, raffles, Winner announcement of Homecoming King and Queen, and much more!
Mon., Oct. 20- Voting day for Homecoming Queen and King, On the quad 12-1 p.m.
Rally on the quad, Thurs., 23 from 12-1 p.m.
