Thousands of Bay Area students, teachers and supporters took to the streets Thursday, March 4 to protest cuts to educational funding. Among them were over 500 Laney students who walked out of class at 11 a.m. for a rally on the Quad and a march to Oakland City Center.
There, students from across the East Bay (including UC Berkeley) converged for an afternoon of presentations, performers and unification. The event was followed by a massive march in San Francisco's city center.
